How do personalized bedtime stories work?

You upload a photo of your child, pet, or family member, answer a few fun questions about theme and tone, and Tellspinners uses AI to write and illustrate a custom story with them as the hero. You can read it online, download a PDF, and keep it forever.

Can I use my child's photo?

Yes. Photos are used only during story creation to build a text description for consistent illustrations. We do not store your original photos — see our For Parents page for full details.

Are the stories downloadable?

Yes. Every finished story includes a storybook PDF you can download. Paid plans also include a coloring-book PDF and optional read-aloud narration.

Can I print the stories?

Yes. The PDF is designed for home printing or professional print shops. Many families print favorites for bedtime shelves or gifts.

Are the stories safe for kids?

Stories are moderated for family-friendly content, written for gentle bedtime reading, and you review everything before sharing. We are ad-free and built for parents.

These terms govern your use of Tellspinners at www.tellspinners.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Who may use Tellspinners

Tellspinners is for adults (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live) who are parents or caregivers creating bedtime stories for children. You must not allow children to create accounts or use the service on their own. You are responsible for the photos, prompts, and other information you submit.

AI-generated content

Stories, illustrations, narration, and related content are created using artificial intelligence. Results can vary from one story to the next and may not be exact, complete, or error-free.

Text and images may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or imperfect (for example, character appearance, names, or plot details).
Cartoon illustrations are interpretations of your inputs; they may not match photos or descriptions precisely.
We use automated checks to help keep content family-friendly, but no system is perfect. Please preview stories before reading them to your child.
Tellspinners is for entertainment only. It is not educational, medical, legal, or other professional advice.

Your content and license

You keep ownership of what you submit (such as photos, names, and story choices). You grant Tellspinners a limited license to use that material only to operate the service—for example, to generate, store, display, and let you download your stories.

We grant you a personal, non-commercial license to use the stories and files we generate for you, subject to these terms. You may not use the service to generate content that infringes others' rights or violates applicable law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Tellspinners to:

Upload or request illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, or sexual content, including any sexual content involving minors.
Attempt to bypass safety checks or misuse the service in ways that could harm others.
Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service except as allowed by law.

We may refuse, remove, or limit content or accounts that violate these rules or that we reasonably believe are harmful to the service or other users.

Sharing stories

If you use the share feature, anyone with the link may view that story without signing in. You are responsible for who you share links with and for revoking share links when you no longer want a story to be public. See our Privacy Policy for how shared stories are handled.

Paid upgrade

Optional paid features are available for a one-time fee (currently $3) processed by Stripe. Prices and features are described on our Plans page. Paid access applies to your account as described at purchase; we may change future pricing or features for new purchases without affecting what you already paid for, except where required by law.

Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or if we choose to offer a refund in a specific case. Contact Support if you have a billing problem.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tellspinners disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tellspinners and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or change the service from time to time. We will post the current terms on this page and update the date below. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. You may stop using the service at any time; you can delete stories in the app and contact Support to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if needed to protect the service.
